Privacy

We collect what you send us through the contact form, and a count of which pages get looked at. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics company, and no cookie banner — because we don’t set any cookies to track you.

The form on the Join us page asks for your name, email address and message. Depending on whether you’re applying as a player, applying as a team, or making a business enquiry, it may also ask for your gamertag, your team name, the players in your roster, and which division you’re interested in.

That information is stored on our server and emailed to us so we can reply. We use it to answer you and to consider your application — nothing else. We don’t sell it, and we don’t send marketing.

Applications are kept while a division is actively recruiting and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can come back to people when a spot opens. Ask us and we’ll delete yours.

To stop the form being abused, we briefly hold your IP address in memory to limit how many times it can be submitted. That isn’t written to disk and isn’t linked to your message.

We count page views so we know whether anyone is reading the site. No cookie is set and no third party is involved.

For each page view we record the time, the page, and the website that linked you here if there was one — the site’s name only, not the full address you came from.

To tell one visitor from another without identifying anyone, we take your IP address and browser, combine them with a secret and the current date, and store a one-way hash of the result. Your IP address is never stored. Because the date is part of it, the hash is different tomorrow, so we can’t follow you from one day to the next or recognise you on a return visit.

The public site sets none. The only cookie this site can set is a sign-in cookie for our own staff on the admin pages, which is strictly necessary for that login to work and is never set for visitors.

On desktop, the home page background plays a showreel hosted by YouTube. We use YouTube’s no-cookie player, so it doesn’t set tracking cookies — but loading it does contact Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address and can see that a video was requested. That is Google’s processing, covered by their privacy policy. On phones and tablets the video is never loaded at all.

Fonts are served from our own server rather than fetched from Google. Links to Discord or other platforms are ordinary links — nothing is sent anywhere until you click one.

Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, as protection against attacks and abuse. These are routine server records, rotated and overwritten in the normal course.

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Get in touch through the contact form and we’ll deal with it.

If you think we’ve handled your data badly and we haven’t put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Competitive gaming has a young audience. If you’re under 16, ask a parent or guardian before sending us your details. If you believe a child has sent us information and you want it removed, contact us and we’ll delete it.

If we change what we collect, we’ll change this page and update the date at the top.
